Samenvatting
As the most frequent disturbance of metabolism diabetes mellitus is described in relation to accidental injuries or with reference to people injured by accidents. Within this framework the traumatic development of diabetes and the consequences of injury on the diabetic disease are described. On the other side diabetes mellitus is discussed as a cause of accidents. Finally the necessary measures for the treatment of the injured diabetic are given.
