Proceedings of the 1998 conference and exhibition of the Transportation Association of Canada TAC : theme `financing tomorrow's transportation systems', subtheme `safety', Regina, Saskatchewan, September 20 to 23, 1998.

The 1998 Annual Conference of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) was held in Regina, Saskatchewan from September 20 to 23 under the theme: Financing tomorrow's transportation systems, with the sub-theme of: Safety. The TAC conference is Canada's largest annual transportation-related gathering of its kind. This is the second year that TAC has published its conference proceedings in CD-ROM electronic format. The proceedings include all available papers from the conference's technical sessions. Although not required to do so, panel discussion and workshop participants were also given the opportunity to submit full papers for publication in the conference proceedings. The 1998 conference featured three workshops: 1. User pay : transportation funding issues for the millennium; 2. Designing and building safer roads; and 3. Road/stream crossings and the protection of fish habitats. The summary reports from these workshops will be published in a 1999 issue of Transportation forum, available from the TAC Secretariat.
