Samenvatting
The proceedings of the 1st International Symposium on the aerodynamics and ventilation of vehicle tunnels are presented. Different problems of the design of ventilation systems, the fresh air requirements for road tunnels, the environmental control, the aerodynamics of vehicles passing through tunnels, the natural ventilation, aerodynamics of trains in tunnels, ventilation tests on a model road tunnel and criteria and systems for road tunnel ventilation are highlighted.
