This CD-ROM contains the final proceedings of the second European Road Research Conference, which took place in Brussels on 7-9 June 1999, under the sponsorship of the European Commission (DGVII - Transport). The conference followed the 1st European Road Research Conference, which was known as RISC 97 (Road Infrastructure and Safety Conference), and enlarged the coverage from road infrastructure and safety related issues to those addressing the great majority of road research, including links to telematics and intermodality. The presentations comprised 4th Framework Transport RTD Programme projects, COST Actions, national, bilateral and trilateral research projects, as well as other international projects such as those within the OECD framework.
