The Swedish Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), the U.S. Transportation Research Board (TRB) together with the Forum of European Road Safety Research Institutes (FERSI), the Forum of European National Highway Research Institutes (FEHRL) and the Centre for Research and Contract Standardization in Civil and Traffic Engineering (CROW) organized a conference held in September 22-24, 1993, in Hague, The Netherlands. Conference sessions, intended to cover roads and pavements with special emphasis put on the Strategic Highway Research Programme (SHRP), and highway safety.
