Proceedings of the First World Congress on Safety of Transportation, held in the context of the 150th anniversary of the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, 26-27 November 1992.

The aim of this congress was twofold: (1) to advance transportation safety, by the exchange of information concerning the experiences gained from operational practices within different modes of transportation; and (2) to discuss the possibility of and recommendations for a European organization in which the different transport modes and countries can learn from each other.
