Samenvatting
The 1969 program of the Automotive Safety Foundation outlined in this report is designed to meet most effectively the rapidly changing social, economic and political issues facing U.S. highway transportation. It is based upon intensive staff analysis of needs, which began in 1966 when the Department of Transportation was established, and is guided by conclusions reached in 1968 by an hoc Program Evaluation Committee, composed of industry representatives appointed by the Chairman.
