Samenvatting

Many commercial and industrial projects involving a large number of inter-related steps can be difficult to plan and well-nigh impossible to control with any degree of certainty as the project progresses. The computer application to project control allows all relevant information to be collected and interrelation- ships checked on demand. The original plan could be modified to allow for avialable resources and general feasibility, and the progress of the project could be monitored, taking into account divergences from schedules. The article details the concept, the processing, and the implementation of a networking process applied to project control. A description is given of the computer program and outputs, using a simple project network to illustrate the principles. The work is based on the Pert method, and the program has been written for the company's XL2 computers.
