Samenvatting

This paper describes the exploration and feasibility study FRUIT which was conducted for the City of Frankfurt am Main with part funding by the State of Hessen and the Commission of the European Communities (DRIVE/ATT). During the study, extensive information on selected operational measures in traffic management was gathered. This included restrictive measures like access control in Frankfurt's inner city as well as the introduction of advanced technologies such as individual driver information systems. An essential part of the study was a comparative assessment of the measures on a strategic level, and their integration in an overall traffic management concept. (A)
