Promotion of safer vehicles : workshop paper.

This paper list a number of different developments which might encourage safer vehicles in order to provide a basis for the Workshop discussion which was held during the conference. Each has its own advantages, but there are also practical difficulties which sometimes lie in the wider commercial and political fields. The proposals are controversial, as befits a meeting to debate these issues. They are, emphatically, a personal offering and not the collective wisdom of either TRRL or the Department of Transport.
