Samenvatting
An analysis which predicts the propagation of perturbed densities in space and time from the on-ramp is given. The analytical formulation is based upon the primary governing mechanisms which contribute significantly to the traffic behaviour in the vicinity of an on-ramp. A brief discussion concerning the experimental validation of the various assumptions is included.
