Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on Union guidelines for the development of the Trans-European Transport Network : general approach.

On 24 October 2011, the Commission transmitted the "Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on Union guidelines for the development of the Trans-European Transport Network : general approach" to the Council and the European Parliament. The proposed Regulation aims at establishing and developing a complete TEN-T, consisting of infrastructure for railways, inland waterways, roads, maritime and air transport, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning of the internal market and strengthening economic and social cohesion.
