Proposed rules for high center-mounted brake lights. Docket No. 81-02, Notice 1. 49 CFR Part 571.

This notice proposes that Safety Standard No. 108 be amended to require installation of a single center, high mounted stop lamp on passenger cars, in addition to the stop lamps presently required. The primary purpose of the amendment would be to reduce rear end collisions.
