Transmissions will be better matched to engines and vehicle drag, through improved aerodynamics, may be halved. Electronic management of nearly every facet of vehicle operation will be a significant change. New opportunities concerning limiting vehicle speeds and acceleration rates are highlighted as part of improved integration of the vehicle into the traffic system.
