Research-based impact test procedures for new cars (including the offset deformable frontal impact test, the side impact test, the side impact pole test, pedestrian protection, child restraints, compatibility between cars and seat belt reminders) are discussed with reference to the EuroNCAP (New Car Assessment Programme).
