Samenvatting
This study examines whether perceptions of and attitudes towards inflation obey standard psychological laws. Survey data on eight countries are used to generate estimates of the threshold for perceptions of changes in inflation, and the rate of inflation which consumers consider moderate. The Weber law, that the thresholds are constant, is firmly rejected.
