Public transportation operating standards.

The city of San Antonio is described, the history of its successful transit system is briefly reviewed, and the development is outlined of operating standards that served as a basis for the rendering of the present service and the extension of the service into new developments with new lines. Aerial maps of the city were used to study its geographical and physical layout and plot routes for transit service. A set of minimum standards were then adopted which has to be satisfied before an extension of the bus service is made.
