Samenvatting

The immediate problems facing the taxicab industry are: the inability to increase the productivity of the taxicab driver and service personnel, the inability to control the increased cost of doing business, and the inability to increase revenue sufficiently to offset higher costs. Cost analysis studies reveal that under the present rate structure a company must achieve 60% paid-mile/operating ratio to remain profitable.
