Samenvatting

It is proposed that public transport be operated on a completely fare-free basis and that costs for providing such transportation be prepaid by the taxpayer. Operating economics and efficiencies and other advantages inherent in such a system are reviewed. The ever-growing number of state and communities already providing public funds in aid of transit are cited as proof that tax support for such a plan is not impossible.
