Samenvatting

Tyre failures, including slow punctures, have diminished in significanca over the years due to improvements in tyre manufacture, the widespread use of tubeless tyres, and the 1967 tyre regulations. An analysis is made of the effect of certain tyre failures of current conventional tyres on vehicle controllability. It compares conventional tyres with a new range of safety tyres and safety wheels.
