Samenvatting
The system described in the paper have been installed for providing a solution to two main types of problems: I. Safety in long tunnels with queue detection, tele-metering of signals indicating presence of queues and control of tunnel entrance by means of traffic lights; II. Prevention of queue formation in tunnels which are closely followed a toll barrier.
