Samenvatting
The need for a measure of cyclists' performance in traffic is established. The development of a bicycle performance test is described. The test is based upon observations of trained coders in naturally occurring situations, coded on a standardized form. Three situations are utilized: path through an intersection; midblock behaviour; and visual search at residential intersections. Only behaviours that occur with significant frequency and that can be seen by an observer are coded.
