Samenvatting
ETSC European Transport Safety Council will present the EU framework for improving road safety in urban areas covering the EU 2020 targets and the new European Commission urban mobility package. The main instrument in the framework is the Sustainabile Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) which includes road safety for the fist time. Examples of cities that have already integrated road safety into their SUMPs will be presented, as well as priorities for action to realise Vision Zero in cities and towns across Europe.
