Samenvatting
A brief account of urban planning and urban management during the sixties is given. Metropolitan planning and management in the sixties may be characterized as a "muddling through", and was mainly focussed on the processes of physical designs. Now there is a growing concern about the impact of planning, not only on society as a whole, but in particular on differing groups in society.
