In this article, the author discusses the "judicial trend" in regard to seat belt cases. He notes that certain conclusions may now be drawn from the judicial pronouncements so far reported on the subject. One of these conclusions is that failure to use an available seat belt cannot be considered contributory negligence of the non-user in the sense that such failure contributed to causing the accident.
