So far, eight transfer points have been developed in the Netherlands. Generally, they have not lived up to expectations. The exceptions to this are the transfer point in Hoorn and the recreational transfer point in Renesse. With experiences from the existing transfer points it is possible to determine the factors that are important for success. In this paper, it is illustrated in what way can be dealt with transfer points in the future by a practical case on Walcheren. For this purpose, two opportunities for recreational transfer points are outlined for respectively the villages Domburg and Koudekerke. In Domburg the transfer point will point at the village and surroundings, in Koudekerke the transfer point will control the mobility in an entire coastal zone.
