Reference frames and direct head impacts.

The drivers studies of impact and motion of human and human analogues results in mechanical quantities described in reference frames which vary from one instrumentation method to another. There are three reference frames to worry about; the instrumentational, the anatomical, and the inertial (lab). This paper presents a fourth frame used at HSRI, one that is related to the kinematics of impact.
