The authors indicate how to calculate the basic data, and give methods of calculation to check whether: (a) pedestrians are able to get through; (b) other traffic can get through; (c) there is enough space for the pedestrians to wait for the light to turn green; (d) there is enough space for the other traffic to wait for the light to turn green. Then follows a description of the 6 possible regulations. Finally some notes are given on signals to be applied near schools.
