Samenvatting

Contemporary Argentinia is slowly emerging from 60 years of economic, social, and political instability. In an attempt to revitalize the country's economy and society, academics, private entrepeneurs, planners, and public officials in Argentinia are beginning to conceive, design, and implement new strategies aimed at eliminating regional inequalities and forging new economic relationships with neighboring countries. A rising mood of optimism surrounds the government's commitment ot achieving economic, juridical, political, and monetary stability over the next decade. This optimism has been bolstered in part by recent succesful democratic elections, an improving business climate, a relatively stable currency, and a slowdown in the country's annual inflation rate.
