The model estimates home-based car trip generations and attractions for the regional zones in mainland Britain, for work, employer's business and other purpose trips. The model was required to estimate car trip ends in mainland Britain, in contrast with urban models, which generally calculate total or vehicular trip ends for a limited geographical area.
