Samenvatting

Various stakeholder organizations have responsibilities and interests in the ITS system design, operation and management of the London Olympic Games. The cost effective deployment of ITS systems requires that the stakeholders involvement proceeds according to an agreed upon regional ITS framework or architecture that specifies the services to be provided, the roles and responsibilities, and the functions allocated to stakeholders. This paper will explore how such a framework should be developed to assist stakeholders in providing a safe, efficient and effective transportation system to take into account the visitors, competitors, officials to this event as well as the daily commuters.
