Samenvatting

As part of regulatory reform of the National Transportation System, Canada's National Transportation Act 1987 (with amendments in 1988) includes new provisions to remove undue obstacles to the mobility of all persons, including those with disabilities. This paper outlines the experience of the national transportation agency of Canada in implementing these provisions of the legislation. The paper discusses two cornerstones of the Canadian programme: dispute resolution and regulations.
