Samenvatting
Roughly half of all accidents caused by faults in vehicles can be attributed to defective tyres. It is established that modern tyres are no more susceptible to damage than tyres used hitherto, but that this type of damage is different. If the number of defective tyres is to be reduced, tyres need to be significantly better maintained than they are at present.
