Almost a fifth's part the Dutch are spending while on holiday in their country goes to transport. From existing sources tables are derived which gave a split-up of spendings by mode of transport and accommodation. Foreigners are spending about a sixth of their holiday budget on transport within Holland. When adding up all ways of recreational activities for both Dutchmen and foreigners, 34% of all recreational spendings prove to be in the transport sector.
