Samenvatting
Parking standards are among the instruments for the realization of a parking policy. If the available space in a city centre is limited one has to think of ways to allocate space to the various land - uses. The Hague sticks to the philosophy that locations with good public transport facilities in the neighbourhood can do with lower parking standards than elsewhere. Therefore the public transport system has to be studied first, both within and outside the conurbation. The article gives some actual standards.
