Samenvatting

This chapter is concerned with the study of dichotomous (or dichotomized) response variables; for example, a categorical variable pertaining to, say, race, or an attitudinal variable pertaining to, say, legislation of marijuana. The author examines how such a response variable is related to or affected by other dichotomous (or dichotomized) variables. The dichotomous response variable is considered here as the predicted, or dependent, variable, and the other dichotomous variables are viewed as predictor, or explanatory variables.
