Samenvatting

Accident experience on different types in Kentucky are analyzed. The highest rates are found on four-lane undivided roads and the lowest rates on toll roads. The study of accident severity showed relationships to types of accidents, types of highways, traffic control, and safety belt use. Accidents involving pedestrians were the most severe, and single-vehicle accidents ranked next highest.
