Samenvatting

Defects in current DRT technology are examined, and a way in which these defects may be corrected are described. DRT has paid little attention to the economic efficiency of vehicle use, and current technology is unable to provide practical DRT services to a large geographic area where, for example, door-to-door service could be as long as 2 hours. Another weakness is the poor accuracy of current scheduling methods.
