Samenvatting
A number of TRRL's research projects concerned with public passenger transport, particularly road transport are described. Two possible future situations are postulated. Since the generalized cost of a journey is an important factor in people's decisions of whether to travel and if so by which mode, various research projects are categorized which are described in those which are mainly concerned with travel time, comfort, convenience and costs of a journey.
