Research into the urban traveller's behaviour.

Current methodology in traffic forecasting has not satisfied either practitioners or researchers. The main shortcomings of the current methodology of building traffic models are discussed. Basic elements for a traveler’s behaviour theory are then suggested. These elements are based mainly on recent statistical evidence and analysis of 50 in-depth interviews of urban residents from different French towns.
