Samenvatting

The house and the street upon which it is situated are both part of an overall integrated design. The street designer must not be allowed to confine his thought processes to the area of the pavement only. He must consider the effects of his design on the houses it serves and modify the design accordingly. The same applies to the architect or building designer. He cannot design the house without remembering the implications of the street on which it fronts.
