Review of “Cell phone use and crash risk : evidence for positive bias” by Richard A. Young.

There currently is a lot of debate about the risks associated with various distractions while driving. At the center of this debate is the crash risk associated with cellphone use. Studying this is difficult because police crash reports do not reliably indicate whether or not drivers were on the phone at the time of the crash. Thus, other means are required to establish whether or not crash-involved drivers were using phones, and suitable controls are needed. (Author/publisher)
