Samenvatting
The new directives published here are divided as follows. Part I summarizes the recommendations to the question in which case a road has to be illuminated. Photo-metric criteria of the illumination of different categories of roads are an important part of the directives. Part II reviews fundamental aspects which are the basis for the recommendations. Part III discuss practical aspects for the realization of installations for public lighting and Part IV gives examples of installations which almost satisfy to the new directions.
