Samenvatting
Fatality rate curves in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Netherlands are compared. Both show an annual decrease in the number of fatal accidents. From the different shapes of the curves it can be concluded that the decrease is a generalized, but not identical community learning process in industrialized countries. Apart from the generality it seems as if actions and circumstances in each country can be responsible for the curve differences.
