At the end of 1990, in the beginning of 1991 the Regional Organization for Road Safety conducted an extensive campaign concerning alcohol and traffic. A publicity campaign and a police surveillance, which were used in that campaign, lasted for two months. Results of a before and after study carried out by the Dutch Institute for Road Safety Research SWOV are presented.
