Samenvatting
In the fall of 1991, the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research and six police control teams carried out a study into the use of alcohol by drivers in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The aim was to establish the motorists' alcohol consumption in this province. Blood alcohol content, age and sex of the drivers were collected and recorded. The study was carried out on Friday and Saturday nights. The 1991 sample included 1401 motorists.
