Samenvatting
In 1987 the Dutch police initiated an action in order to diminish the lack of traffic safety as a consequence of the high speed. The car drivers attention was drawn to the danger of driving too fast. A new table for braking-distances was introduced. This table is presented. Seven different stages of the human reaction and several factors that influence the braking deceleration are described.
