Samenvatting
During the nineteen seventies research has been done to the speed behaviour of car drivers on non- motorways outside built- up areas. For the evaluation of the planning of new roads a new research has been done by a literature review. Variables which may influence the average and 85% speed of cars are degree of curvature, visibility distance, transverse profile, layout and the number of exit roads.
