Results of an empirical analysis of traffic in the Dutch Coentunnel (near Amsterdam) are presented. The focuses on differences between the peak-hour and the periods before and after are given. The results can be regarded as an affirmation of an earlier developed theory of traffic which is based on the so-called fundamental diagram.
