On the 21st of September 1990 the highway circle around Amsterdam is to be closed officially: the construction of the ring road will be completed. On the 28th of September the traffic will flow. This will have great consequences for the traffic pattern around Amsterdam and the rest of the Netherlands. The paper gives a view of the present and future traffic situation.
